When we set up One Jazz we considered writing a commercial business plan, trying to raise investment and looking to sign a major headline sponsor. But then we decided just to get on and do it, because it felt like something that should exist. We decided we’d launch as a not-for-profit organisation, run by volunteers and funded from the off by us. We’re glad we made that decision and that One Jazz is starting to flourish.

But of course, we have costs – for technology, licensing, administration and, when we can afford it, marketing. Because we hope you’re enjoying what we do, for free, with very few commercial messages, we thought it seems ok to ask if you’d like to help. Donations are a very standard thing for public radio in the USA. That’s how they are funded. It’s also becoming more of a thing in the UK.

If you like what you’re hearing and can afford it we’d be most grateful if you’d make a donation. Whatever you can afford will go, 100%, to our running costs. Nobody on air gets paid. Of course if you can’t donate now that’s also cool – we are here for everyone. Another way to contribute is to buy some merchandise from our shop.
